Greetings all. This is my obligatory first post. I am going to focus mainly on fan fiction in this journal (who doesn't?)

So, on to the obligatory questions:
Yes, I read fanfic. No, I've never posted any anywhere before. Yes, I want to start. No, I don't have a beta. Yes, I like slash fic. No, that's not the only thing I read. Yes, I'll be posting links to various fics I like. No, I don't care if you link to me and use me as a source to feed your addiction. Yes, if you want to have a fic added you can let me know. No, I won't automatically add it, but I will read it and decide from there. Yes, I would love to beta. No, I have never been a beta before.

I like well-thought-out, chaptered fics more than one shots because USUALLY the characters develop more and the relationships are more fleshed out. I also REALLY like crossovers. I blame Beren (http://beren-writes.livejournal.com) for this. One of the first fics I ever read was Black Magic by Moonlight (http://beren-writes.livejournal.com/93442.html), which is one of the best HP/Anita Blake crossover fics I've ever read. All of Beren's stuff is pretty damn amazing, so I highly recommend checking out some other fics such as the Corruption series, Gold Tinted Spectacles, and Angels and Devils. BE WARNED: These are all HP in some way, all R-NC17 and all slash. For more crossover goodness, check out Twisting the Hellmouth (http://www.tthfanfic.com) for Buffy/Angel fun. I also recommend The Spander Files (http://www.spanderfiles.com). Once again, BE WARNED! Many of the fics listed on SF have highly graphic adult content.

Real Family, Hurt/Comfort, Dom/Sub, Discovering feelings, Angst, Accidental powers/Discovering hidden powers, Alternate universes created by changing choices made in canon, magic induced interest that turns real, forced bonding/relationship that turns real, betrayal that alters perception and leads to victory.

Well, I guess that's it for now. I have some fics I may get the guts to post eventually, but in the mean time I need to feed my addiction so I'm off to find more fic
